Google Sponsors Pirated Movies
January 24th, 2007 by 1mil [^]

Eating testicles? Not unless you’re willing to kill the boar yourself –or at least that’s what happened in Apocalypto. Yeah that’s right, you heard me, APOCALYPTO. Didn’t that movie just come out? No surprise it’s on the internet buzzing around already. But rather than a BitTorrent or a Warez site I’ve found it in on the Google Network being sponsored by Google Adsense. Is this a crime?

I couldn’t believe my eyes –from Kill Bill to Click, Borat and many more, the list of movies available on this site is unimaginable. Full length movies, and yes folks I have the links right here.

With full length movies are at your fingertips. Will you fall to temptation?

I knew you couldn’t resist…

The reason why I brought this (soon to be divulged) anonymous site to your attention isn’t so you can actually run and watch movies to your hearts content (don’t ask don’t tell policy here) — but rather to make a valid point.

On this marvelous site of pirated movies (no I’m not talking about YouTube LOL), are found none other than Google AdSense ads, on Google’s own Blogger network. I’m pretty sure this is a vagrant violation of their policies, if not a number of federal laws. So why is it that Google hasn’t removed this site yet? Maybe some smart guy has devised a way to take advantage of the system, maybe Googlie doesn’t notice. In effect, someone is getting Adsense dollars off of pirated movies…

Or perhaps they’re Google sponsored? (Oh what will they come up with next?)

In a time when anyone can pick up a webcam and become a hit, does the content that hard working individuals create not put food on their plate and money on their mortgage? Where do we draw the line between rights and abuse?

In any case, bring your conscience along with you if you dare check out the deviating delight. You still don’t believe me do you?

WELL IN ANY CASE THEY’VE TAKEN IT DOWN! UPDATED 2/22/07

Testicle Treats Anyone? (all within the first 5 minutes of Apocalypto)

Not Enough World for your Taste? ( James Bond and his various episodes)

If you STILL don’t believe me look at this!

Oh and, whether you decide to check out these links or not, please consider the following.

1. I do not advocate the misuse or piracy of digital content.

2. Add to the discussion by posting a comment or sending a ping/trackback

3. When you get something for FREE, someone else has to pay. (e.g. nothing is free)

(4. If word spreads too much about the video cache, it might misteriously disappear!)

I’d really like to hear from folks, producers and consumers of content alike.
Happy Blogging!
