The self-proclaimed whore of samples — the lovely Kimberly from My Good Cents recently tagged me with the 7-random-things-about-me meme! It’s a lot harder than it looks — so without further ado here’s the good stuff:
7. The God of War Reigns Supreme — yes, I am a fiery Aries. It’s fun.
6. I am a devoted fan of all things Nintendo. From Metroid to Kid Icarus, Mario, and everything in between. I know all of those stupid 8-bit songs from the NES. Not only do I hum said songs and drive my friends crazy, I have midis, mods, and mp3s of all my favorite games. My all time favorite series is of course the Legend of Zelda. But it’s a secret to everyone!

5. I’ve bred and trained cockatiels since I was a kid.
4. I drink lots and lots of caffeine; 5 cups of coffee and 4 cups of tea on a good day.
3. I love playing basketball. I get out on the court whenever I get the chance, sometimes even at the butt crack of dawn.
2. Music is my soul. I cannot function without music, really. Any uninspiring task can be made fun with just the right tunes. I always have one of my 3 ipods handy — usually the shuffle.
1. I try not to take myself too seriously. I tend to be very light-hearted and laugh at just about anything. My friends always get a kick out of my ADD-inspired antics.

So what’s a good meme without a fun game of tag — while I’m running around the room yelling out random names let’s go with Boston Gal, Money Monk! , Map Girl, and Shawna!

I saw something like this, except it had specific questions, like: “What do you always have on your person?” Most people would say keys and wallet, but someone I know actually answered handkerchief and guitar pick. It’s interesting find out these specific things… I think that question was one of the most interesting survey questions I’ve seen so far.

Yeah this probably the third or fourth tag I’ve gotten. They’re usually pretty fun because you know you get to be off topic for a minute. Then again when am I ever on topic? lol. I already know what the guitar pick is in reference to! Guitar Hero! meh i don’t have an xbox. hehe!

ah good old Legend of Zelda. I see you’ve got a download to Zelda classic there — very nice.

Oh that? Yeah it’s been there forever — surprisingly I get a lot of inbound traffic for that page hehe.

Guitar Hero ROCKS! But actually, no need for a guitar pick for Guitar Hero. My friend actually plays the gee-tar. He’s had the pick in his wallet for over 8 years. Some of our friends have guitars, so he randomly pulls his pick out to play with our friends’ guitars.

5. I’ve bred and trained cockatiels since I was a kid. …. That’s pretty cool… is your house full of birds? …
I’m with you on the caffeine. My drug of choice is Diet Coke though… Lot’s of Diet Coke, that’s probably were all my money goes…
:)

Oh yeah they don’t use picks.. your friend actually plays a guitar lol. My bad!

rofl! No my house isnt full of birds I usually give them away to people who will take care of them =) I only have my two! Diet coke is nice for awhile lol. For me if I drink any soda — diet or not — it eventually leads me to other bad habits, like eating all the cake. I have friends that make cakes — all the time. Why do they make cakes and then leave them out my house????? alone with me??? lol

Oh crap. No. I hate doing these. I got tagged the last time and I’m not doing it again. Sorry!
I do have a 100 things about me and another list of 5.
Read and enjoy, but ain’t no way you’re getting me to do another one. I don’t care if you try to shame me on BostonGal’s blog.
sneaky bastard! *wink* j/k

Fair, fair, maybe I should tag another victim… lol

See Juan you’re writing is always great, but it’s the personal stuff that is always most interesting. You should open up more and talk about some of your great ideas. It’s a shame you don’t mention any of them on Millionster.

Aww thanks for the kind words Felicia!
Yeah, you’re right I have my reservations about being overly personal. I’ve tried a number of times but it’s not easy. Of course, if you keep saying nice things like that I might open up just a little.. no promises haha.

Hey Juan, thanks for stopping by the blog. I read the part about training cocatiels from a young age but misread it as cockroaches. I thought ‘ewwwwwww’, then I blinked, my contact lens slid back into place and I realized that you were talking about birds. Oops!
October 10th, 2007 at 8:46 am
rofl@cockroaches — yes that would be a sight! lol. Ah so many things to do and not enough time to do it!

Juan, are you serious? You can’t leave a comment? I will check the spam filter and fish you out.

When I try to leave a comment there’s an error or it times out. Might have been just me! but it happened twice
