We are experimenting with the weekly periodical format and trying to add some new twists to old topics and also generate new ones — so I just wanted to share with you some of the themes and other fun stuff we’ve been brainstorming for the month of March. Of course I should mention that in between our feature articles, there will be other random articles and ramblings =)

Week 2: Lucky Money - articles on the broad subject of luck, gaming and odds.

  • luck & superstition
  • gambling & gaming
  • lost and found
  • where’s george?
  • the odds of winning

Our “Economic Experiment” for this week will be an experiment in the odds of winning. We will ask our readers to purchase a $1 scratch ticket and have them report the results to us. We will have a Millionster Lab Kit available as a download to guide you on how to participate. Those who try out the experiment will be eligible for a random drawing in which one lucky person will receive 7 Free Scratch Tickets from Millionster. All Participants will gain access to our free downloads for the week. (**Note, some states have age requirements limiting scratch ticket games to those persons 18 yo and over**)

Week 3 or 4: Spring Rush - articles on the broad subject of college life and money

  • financial aid of course,
  • the best scholarship resources
  • living on a college budget
  • pre and post college exams
  • majors and careers
  • grad school applications

For this week we would like to try and get as many of our fellow Under 30 Honor roll bloggers working together to share our collective experience and insight on college related issues. We’ll also have free downloads available to everyone, and special badges for participants of this topic. ***We’ll send out an announcement to everyone in advance to get whoever we can on board!*** (no word on prizes or giveaways for this topic yet!)

Week 5: Eat This! - articles on the broad subject of food and money

  • food frugality & budgeting,
  • dieting,
  • quick & easy recipes,
  • professional eating etiquette,
  • food resources on the web.

Our “Economic Experiment” for this week will be an experiment in cost averaging for food related expenses. We will also have a Millionster Lab Kit available for download so that you can try the experiment out for yourself. Participants who try out the experiment will also get access to our free downloads for the week.

Please also note that if you are a blogger and have articles relating to our topics, or if you have some experience/insight to share we will be happy to include you in any of our related posts. Just send me a buzz on the wire.

  1. Share the Love Review #3 - Millionster at Clever Dude Says:

[…] Three things that really impress me about Millionster are: 1. The authors’ sheer energy and enthusiasm. They aren’t afraid to self-promote, but they do it respectfully. Also, they come up with new ways of organizing and presenting their articles such as economic experiments and themes 2. Their graphics skills are AMAZING! Oh, and they tricked me with their Creditol ad. I had an off-day and didn’t read too closely. I thought Creditol was a real drug! 3. Their ability to bring seemingly off-topic articles back to personal finance such as Losing Weight and Gaining Control. […]
