If you earning 4%, 5% or even 5.5% on any of your investments, or maybe you’re thinking about opening a Money Market account now is the time to move your money or you risk losing on a higher rate investment that was just announced today!
If you don’t have an HSBC Direct Online Savings, they just announced via marketing email that they are offering a whopping 6% APY on their Money Market account during a promotional period Jan 29 2007 - Apr 30 2007
How does this affect you? The difference between a $5000 savings over a year at 5% versus 6% is as much as $100 extra dollars. Hey that’s free money! The only catch is that if you already have an HSBC account the higher savings rate only applies to the new money you deposit between that time period.
And of course don’t forget to read the fine print:
* 6.00% is a promotional Annual Percentage Yield (APY) available on New Money only between January 29, 2007 and April 30, 2007. Minimum balance to open an account is $1.00.
New Money Period is January 29, 2007 through April 30, 2007. Starting Balance means the available balance in your account as of the close of business on January 26, 2007. New Money means funds not previously held by any member of the HSBC Group deposited during the New Money Period less any withdrawals, and it excludes your Starting Balance as calculated below. New Money must be in available funds for the promotional rate to apply.
If you are thinking about opening a Money Market Savings this is a nice way to get started; or if you’re looking to make some extra free money give it a shot.
Who can say no to free money?
