I don’t normally suggest buying lottery tickets, but Illinois is offering a pretty tempting offer for their St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle.
The amazing thing? The odds.
-
- 4 Prizes of $1,000,000, odds are 1 in 125,000!
- 5 prizes of $100,000 each, odds are 1 in 100,000!
- 500 prizes of $1,000 each, odds of 1 in 1000!
This promotion offers the best odds for winning a million dollars (in the history of the Illinois Lottery).
Now I’m not one to buy lottery tickets-my dad and grandma swear by them-but I’m almost half tempted to buy a ticket! I mean, 1 in 1000 wins $1k! The overall odds is 1 in 982. Its also probably the most expensive ticket available, lol. Each ticket is $20.
Like I said, I’m not a fan of gambling, but I’m actually considering this. My dads friend at work bought 10 tickets… Hello thats $200! Thats just crazy. Maybe I’m crazy for even considering gambling. I figure, if I play the lotto once a year at least I’d be getting the best odds for my money.
And don’t be emailing me talking about ‘buy a ticket for me’. lol.
I’ll let you know if I breakdown and buy a ticket.

One question: Are they paying in corn or dollars?

No, we use the corn to fuel our cars.

I’m so gonna buy one! Did I tell you my mom had a dream that I won 14 million dollars?

That raffle was a rip off. I live in chicago and how funny it is that 98 percent of the winners were in the suburbs. I bought 11 tickets and did not win one prize. It is a scam. The same thing happened last year where chicago residents didn’t get jack. This was a scam. I will never play again.
