A Dollar Saved is Still a Dollar

Why is the government playing money games?

The Federal Reserve recently announced the release of a new $1 coin with George Washingtons face. They are going to change the face of the president, and continue in order up to 2016. Each President featured on a $1 coin must have been dead for 2 years.

It seems the main purpose of this whole money changing thing is to attract American coin collectors. WTF?! Is that not a waste of time and money or what?

I think Bush is behind this and that he wants to immortalize himself on the face of a coin. I know the program is scheduled to end in 2016 BUT it sure leaves the door open for the Fed to continue the process down the road.

Whats the big deal with collecting coins? A quarter is only worth a quarter for crying out loud! If there is an idiot that pays more than the coins face value, let me know so that I can cash in my coins.

And whats up with changing the look of our paper money too? Why are we wasting intelligence and research on this (all of which cost money!)

I can’t wait until Democrats take over again. At least they try to get the US back on some kind of financial goal plan.

If the Democrats play their cards right they could gain control of the Govt for the next 16 years! My theory is that Hilary would take the first 8 years and Obama the next 8 years. However, Obama seems pretty determined to jump in the office right now, which worries me because I don’t feel he is ready. Much of his political campaign involves glamourized images of being a great leader and not much based on experience in dealings with the White House and the Government. He hasn’t even served a full term in the Senate. Come on now. Don’t get me wrong, Obama is the bomba… lol. But I think its too early for him. It makes me question his motives too, he seems too eager to jump into office. Why so soon? I definetly think Hilary is the rightful heir to the position at this point and time. But thats neither here nor there.

Worth is not always objective my friend. Coins become more valuable over time as less of them are available. I have almost all the 50 states quarters myself =) Isn’t there anything you collect? I know you have an old $2 bill stashed away some place!

You and a million others. lol.

Coin collecting is not a legitimate investment in my eyes. But then again, I got the full collection of Xmen Ultra Fleer 94′ Cards including all the special editions-Spring Break, Sinister Observations, Hunter & Stalkers, and the See Thru cards.

Maybe you should call this article “I Think Collectors Are Stupid, and I Collect Therefore I am Stupid” :-D

How you been by the way, haven’t seen you on in awhile.

  4. forojuan says:

Wuteva. I got baseball cards too. I’m not a complete loser like you (coin-collector).

I didn’t collect those cards because I thought they would be a good investment, I collected them because I got mild OCD. lmao!

  5. 1mil says:

OCD is an understatement what about HOCD (hyper), while we listing your disorders:
dyslexia, anorexia, microposteridous, and dementia. lol

You’re like a step away from being a class A supermodel. Seriously.

  6. forojuan says:

I’m offended. I do not have dsyelixa!

So you’re telling me I should pursue modeling?! YES! I’ve always wanted to! The agencys that I have applied to just haven’t seen my true potential yet. I won’t give up on them.
